yes, i changed my blogskin again cause i don't really like the previous skin about some love or whatever.BOOKENDS - i am not an emotional person neither do i get emotional easily. Let it be a movie or a book or whatever. Even if i do get emotional, i don't show it. Anyway, my point is that the book thati read today really caught my attention and made me feel all warm and got me emotional. "BOOKENDS" is really a good book although the first few chapters seems pretty boring but as you move on with the plot, you can find there are loads of surprises. It's about 4 best friends, cath,si(who's a gay), josh, and lucy(who's ever bubbly and sweet and also a superb cook) who is josh's wife. There is portia who used to be their best friend when they were in univertisty but slowly dirfted apart. She can be very warm and sweet and giggly and at the same time she can be a cold hearted bitch. after many years, she suddenly came back and everything starts to fall apart. Si is trying so very hard to find a gay partner whom he can spend the rest of his life with but to no avail. When cath and lucy dream finally came true by opening a bookshop with a cafe inside, lucy and josh start to go further apart. To cath and si, it seems like he's having an affair with portia whom he had a fling with before. then there is this au pair who is gorgeous,Ingrid who acts like she isnt an au pair. Then sudenly, Si was hit by a hard truth that he was HIV positive although he was a careful person. Cath , his best friend cancelled all her dates with James to take care of him. To tolerate all the mood swings and stuff....thats pretty much about it but there are more twists in the story later on. Although i was with steph,shiying,khaz,hiyi, i totally shut myself frm the rest of the world while i read the book. Somehow the story frightens me and made me feel so insecure of myself suddenly cause you may be at the top of the world today and the next day, you can be feeling extremely miserable. There are so many turning points in life that one cant forsee. I think thats the reason why i got a lil scared. I wish i have friends like cath, josh and lucy. Not that i dun have many good friends now. But i was embraced by the friendship that they have. The way how they try to be there for each other. okay, i guess it's getting boring. Anyway, I went to SAJC open house with steph,huiyi,khaz and shiying. ferderick showed us around. at least there was an ex-assumptionite! =D Good night!
